Why Some People Don’t Know Beck.

After the 2015 Grammys, there was a lot of discussion online about Beck’s win. The reason why some people don’t know who Beck is because music has become a fairly singular experience. There’s not as much emphasis on everyone knowing the same set of songs that are popular, as it used to be with radio. You might be listening to totally different artists that the person next to you has never heard of, even if you both enjoy the same style of music. I see that a ton in indie rock.
